January 1891 Daniel and Miranda Move to Binghamton

The Owego newspaper, January 15, 1891

Daniel Tripps works as a watchmaker and also repairs musical instruments for thirty years in Owego, NY. This is the earliest connection we have to musical talent in the family. His daughter, Lovina, is an accomplished pianist and organist, as will be his great-granddaughter, Leoria.

In 1891, Carrie Tripp is living with her sister, Lovina, and Lovina's husband, Stephen. Their daughter, Leoria, not to be confused with their granddaughter, Leoria, is three years old at the time. When Daniel and Miranda move to Binghamton, the Wilbur household numbers six.
